|Title: Not Blind.
Fandom: Robin of Sherwood.
Pairing: Robin of Loxley/Will Scarlett
Summary: Marian POV.
Note: I blame Sigrina for writing Herne's Son many moons ago. Yesterday I sat down to watch 'The Swords of Wayland'. There's this little look Will gives Robin that made my plot bunnies attack.

Disclaimer: Richard Carpenter was evil enough to make me buy both boxed sets with his wondrous writing, he could at least let me play with them.
Sitting by the fire during the evening, tending to a wound Will got during an ambush. The others are sitting around, mending things, sharpening weapons, chatting. I pull a stitch too tight and too quickly, Will winces. "Bloody hell, you got it in for me, Marian?"
Robin chuckles. "Everyone's got it in for you, Will. Didn't you know?"
" 'Course." Will grins, catching his eye. Robin grins back. I bite my lip, look away from that. I don't want to see it.
I've loved you since you went out through the window of my room. You and Will ... I don't know how long that's been going on, but I'd have to be blind not to see the feelings there. You're most of the reason he stays.
I can understand why he'd be attracted to you. The feyness and grace that makes you seem like a forest spirit would attract anyone. He's mostly made up of rough, rude violence. It's always seething below the surface, barely controlled. You're the only one who can tame it, but it's part of what attracts you to him. I know it is. Sometimes you come to me or back to the camp with a spark in your eye, the scent of blood and leather and violence about you, and that's all Will. Something you need that I can't provide, a love to counterbalance what I give you.
It hurts sometimes, knowing I'm married to you and you give yourself to him willingly, but I can live with it. It doesn't bother me that much anymore, because I know you do love me.
But don't ask me to see those looks and glances and not be affected. I may be your wife and in love with you but I'm not blind.
