Absolut Ice Bar

Now, you would never want to make this your regular as the novelty would certainly wear off pretty quickly, but if you are looking for somewhere a bit different from the norm, check out the Absolut Ice Bar.
A bit of a tourist staple that most resident Londoners would avoid like the plague, it’s worth going for a drink if not just to see what it’s like and put it on your check box things done to talk about at parties.
You won’t want to stay in there very long though, certainly not like the normal pubs in London

ESKIMO LIVING

I've always been fascinated by Eskimos and their igloos, and a few months ago my wish came true. I had a chance to visit a village in Greenland and see how an Eskimo really lives!
If you have no clue about Greenland and igloos, it may surprise you to know that Greenland has one of the harshest weathers in the world, and contrary to what you may think, the igloos are warm inside, despite being made of ice!
The moment I arrived at Greenland, the beauty of this place had me awestruck. I hopped on to the sled that was waiting for me outside the airport, and with the help of some (rather experienced!) drivers, I managed to reach the base camp safely. I spent the next couple of days living like the Eskimos. Although difficult, this is one experience I'll never forget.
If you are the adventurous type and haven't yet done this, you're missing out on something really great!

BUNGEE MADNESS

One of my favorite adrenaline pumping activities is Bungee Jumping. Believe me, the only thing more intense than jumping off such a height is spending an hour with a Lion!
I have decided to put together a list of some of my favourite bungee jumps in the UK:
1) Highest Bungee Jump: The higher the better! The Highest jumps in the UK are at Windsor, Newcastle, and Manchester. They are all a staggering 300FT drop!
2) Bridge Bungee Jump: The only bridge bungee jump in the UK is available in Middlesbrough. Jumping off the Transporter Bridge from a height of 170FT is a great experience.
3) Tandem Bungee Jump: If you have company (who are just as mad!), you can jump off a 160 ft-high platform with you friend or partner on a Tandem Bungee jump. They are available across the UK.

HIKING WITH A TWIST

If hiking is something that you enjoy, this might interest you. This year I decided to take part in a Village walking trip in Ethiopia. This walk was organised by Village Ways, who deal with hikes for small groups of people to the remotest villages in Ethiopia and India.
Not only did it promise to be a great hiking experience, but also a great way to contribute to the economy of the village, who survive primarily on the funds they receive from tourists.
My hiking trip lasted over five days, and I got to see some of the best views in Ethiopia. I also got to enjoy the various cultures and traditions of this beautiful place.
If you are interested you can check out the different and extreme holiday packages at the Village Ways website: http://www.villageways.com/.

The Bear Hotel

If you like your hotels to be like interactive 18th century brothels from space then this will not disappoint. Whilst looking fairly normal and unassuming from the outside the, Crazy Bear hotel in Old Beaconsfield is one of the most bizarre places that we have ever been to. With some of the most lavish if not distasteful venues that we have graced under one roof, the place is excess to the extremes and you could be forgiven for assuming that it is the solo cause of the entire bloody recession.
One room has entirely leather flooring and faux crocodile skin walls for example. Completely unneed but relatively unheeded if you get my drift.
Anyhoo, if you’re looking for something different and have the dollar. Check it out.
